Good Evening New Tech Students and Families.  This is Principal Martin with your Sunday Night Howl!

 

Our March School Newsletter will be published tomorrow.  If you have not subscribed, please take a moment and do so now!  Just got to the school website, click “About” and then click “News and Announcements”.  You will see a link that says “Subscribe to Newsletter”.  Super easy!  Once you get to the subscription page, just enter your email address.  Monthly Newsletters will be delivered straight to your inbox!

 

Reminders!  This Tuesday is our PTSA Board Meeting at 6:30pm.  The PTSA is actively looking for new Board Members to fill the spots of our parents who have graduating seniors.  The PTSA is a very active part of this school, so the Board positions are very important.  If you are considering joining the PTSA Board, please plan to attend the Board Meeting on Tuesday!  For more information about the PTSA and soon to be vacant board positions, please email newtechptsa@gmail.com.  Also, this coming Saturday, March 6th is Code Wars!  Many of our students are participating this year!  If you have questions about this event, please contact Mr. Huang.

 

We are having a fundraiser this month!  Virtual Paint Night is on March 13th.  This will be a virtual event and we encourage everyone to join and to also spread the word!  Share widely.  Anyone can participate.  The cost is $40 for all the materials and zoom link, or $20 for just the zoom link, if you want to purchase the materials on your own.  The flier for this event will be attached to the email that corresponds with this message.  It will also be posted on the school website.  Please register as soon as possible and join us for this super fun fundraiser event, hosted by the PTSA!

 

Lastly, Ms. Taylor has added a course in Echo called Sac new Tech School Counseling.  I recommend that every student and every parent visit this course.  Ms. Taylor is sharing resources that will be helpful to your high school experience.  Ms. Taylor is also hosting a weekly 10 minute group meditation on zoom!  We invite and encourage our entire school community to join!  Parents included!  The zoom link and all the info you need is in the Sac New Tech School Counseling Course in Echo.  This is a camera off event.  Its just 10 minutes to be in a space together while we rest our brains as we go through a guided meditation.  Meditation is great for our mental health!  I hope I start to see more people joining us every Thursday at 1:30pm.

 

As we exit Black History Month today, we will be entering Women’s History Month in March.  Our quote of the week comes from Maya Angelou, a great African American Woman, poet and civil rights activist.  She once said “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”  Have an amazing week and keep working hard!  Always remember, we are the mighty Timberwolves!
