Good Evening New Tech Students and Families.  This is Principal Martin with you Sunday Night Howl!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Sac New Tech Moms!  You guys are the real MVP’s.  I hope you got to spend some quality time with your families today.

We are down to our last 3 weeks of school.  Here are a couple of dates you should remember.

Monday, May 17th, we will hold our last School Site Council for the year.  It will be held at 4pm on zoom.  Also on the 17th, Mocktails with Martin will be specifically for 12th grade parents.  EVERY 12th grader should have at least one family representative attend this meeting so you can get very important information about graduation.  An individual email will go out with more details.

Tuesday, May 25th will be our last day of in-person learning and the last day of advisory classes.  Students who come to in-person learning will be participating in Tech Fest and our semester awards ceremony.  This is a student’s only event.  Due to COVID restrictions, parents and family members will not be able to attend.

Wednesday, May 26th will be the last day of class for our 12th graders.  All courses for graduation must be passed in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Thursday, May 27th is the graduation rehearsal, 1:00pm at the Land Park Amphitheater.  ALL graduates MUST attend.  If you do not attend rehearsal, you will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Friday, May 28th is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL for 9th-11th graders and will take place on zoom.  This is also GRADUATION DAY.  The graduation ceremony will be held at the William H. Carrol Amphitheater in Land Park and will start promptly at 6pm.

Last week Thursday, our in-person students participated in Pack Fest!  This was a rendition of our traditional Advisory Olympics social distance style.  The students did a great job and it looked like everyone had a great time.  I want to thank Mrs. Toffoletti and Miss Taylor along with our wonderful student leaders for their planning and execution of an amazing event.  I also want to thank our teachers for participating and proving safe spaces for our students to collaborate and bond with each other.

Last week was also Teacher Appreciation week.  We were so surprised by all the wonderful treats that were brought in by our students and parents on Tuesday.  Our teachers have been working so hard this year and I know they felt the love.  Thank you!

This will conclude your announcements for the week of May 9th through May 15th.  15 days of school remaining.  Its time to put all of your energy into completing projects and assignments and get good grades!  And always remember, we are the mighty timberwolves!
