This is our last announcements of the year and it’s also our last
week of school before Winter Break. As a reminder, New Tech has a
THREE week break so we do not return to school until Monday,
January 13th.
Community Meeting Information

On Monday, January 22nd, we held a Community Meeting at our school to discuss our transition to an Early College High School Program and a name change that will go to the board for approval on February 15th.

New Tech Students Win $5000 Climate Change Grant!
In partnership with Joe Flores, Sacramento Parks & Community Enrichment Commissioner, District 7, students from Sac New Tech entered a Climate Change Project Idea Submission to the Sacramento Bee. More information about the grant competition can be found here.
Sacramento New Tech High School Students Demonstrate (“Defend”) their readiness for graduation, careers, and college in “Defense of Learning” (DOL) presentations to panels of Sacramento educators, community partners, and peers.
Highlights:
The week of April 17 – 21 is “Defense of Learning (DOL) Week” where all Sacramento New Tech High School (SNTHS) Seniors will defend what they have learned throughout their high school years. Sophomores also participate in DOL presentations in preparation for what is required during their Senior year. Presentations are from 1:00-4:00 each day this week.
New Tech Students Receive Community Service Award from the City of Sacramento
916 Day Tree Planting
On Thursday, March 2nd the students of Sacramento New Technology High School was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for their volunteer work planting 15 trees at Argonaut Park with the City’s Parks and Rec division.
Mr. Joe Flores, District 7 Commissioner gave the award.
